Setting up your DNS
80% of the cold emails will land in spam if you do not set up your DNS properly.
Hence, we have automated this feature for you to detect whether you have updated all your DNS settings correctly to improve the deliverability of your cold emails.

Head to Settings > Emails & Domains. Once you add a new SMTP, it takes about two minutes for all the DNS settings to be detected. Post which we show a list of all the DMARC issues just below your domain.
Click on DMARC has issues text.
In case you see a red block like below, this means that it has failed. In the screenshot below, the login credentials are failing, so the same is reflected in red.

If you see something in yellow & blue like the below screenshot, this means that you should replace the yellow DMARC setting with blue dmarc settings.

To update your DMARC, head to your preferred DNS provider and add the following value:
Type: TXT Name: _dmarc Value: As shown in the blue field
If you want to improve your DNS settings further, then scroll down and click on Check SPF by clicking the button below:

If you are missing any records, our system will give the records that you need to update for SPF. Generally, it will look like this:
Type: CNAME Name: yourdomain.com Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all The above value is if you use Gsuite/Gmail to send emails. Otherwise, please contact your email service provider and ask them for the SPF value.
Firstsales.io will also check DKIM, SPAM Filters, and other critical DNS settings required to be updated to help you improve your deliverability.

Ideally, you need to achieve the above - All Green and PASS.
When you have finished setting up these, you will likely improve your delivery rate by up to 80%.
